03 Accord LX V6...how to R and R lower portion of stay assy. from body to install new one.... upper section easy as it is attached to hood with 2 screws.

 

Following is for the stablius type mount. Other type mount is a bolt removed from body.

A retaining clip must be lowered (not removed) to allow the hood strut socket to slide off the ball mount. Installation requires resecuring clip to insure strut socket won't come off ball mount.
