Default 03 trunk light

The trunk light in my 03 Accord EX has stopped coming on. I replaced the bulb, but that didn't help. There's no voltage at the light when the trunk is open. I assume the switch is in the trunk latch itself since I can't see a separate switch anywhere. What else can I do to find the problem?

Thanks!

Dave

Welcome to the forum! I'd start by checking your fuses since there is no power there, then trace the wires and make sure it didn't get pinched or broken....

Check the little indicator light in the dash that tells you if the trunk is open. If it works, you can probably assume the trunk switch is okay. If it doesn't work, gut the latch mechanism. I'm believe you're right in thinking the switch is in there.
