Hi All The cruise control cable came off on my 2.4L engine the other night. I managed to get it back on after I pulled the air breather off. It seems the cable winds onto a plastic rather than metal cam or sprocket. The grommet end of the cable seems to have eroded away the plastic moorings for itself on this plastic cam wheel. Mine is on for now but I can believe the cable will come loose again, if I tighten up on the cable anymore it brings up my idle speed. Is this a typical issue and is there a known fix for the erosion I think is occuring or do I get another one and have that assembled onto my throttle body? I am hoping there is an easy fix .. any ideas? Thanks
