Default Cruise Control Cable

Can anyone find a diagram of how the cable connects to the throttle?

I cannot figure out how to hook the cable back up.

There does not seem to be any mention of the CC System in the Manual that I downloaded.

Did you download CD7_CD9? It's at Section 11-104, 23-299, and 23-315.

I did find it mentioned on those pages mentioned.
The search function on my PDF reader doesn't work as I thought it would.
However I still did not find the info I need.

I will post a picture of what I am talking about.

I do not see how the cable connects to the throttle linkage.

The cruise-control cable should have it's own pulley on the throttle shaft.
Did your engine come from a car without cruise?

No I am just a dumbass and cannot figure out where it connects to after it wraps around the bottom of the cable guide on the throttle linkage.

I took it off when i removed the motor to do my 5 speed swap and just cannot get it back on.

It seems like something is missing.

I connected the throttle no problem just cannot connect the CC cable.

There are "two" points of the cable, using my 95 EX as ref. Remember there is a "tab" a few inches from the end that slips into the U shaped part of the actual tb then to another "reel"....see if this helps. If not let me know and I can try for more pics, might be this weekend before I can get them....I took these a while back when I was trying to help someone else....again this is from my 95 EX 4 cyl auto....hope it might help

poorman - that is just what I needed.

It all makes sense now.

excuse my crude paint skills but looking at this picture

#1 was very brittle and fell apart during disasembly, I thought it was part of the Auto Trans cable so I wasnt worried about it. I see now that I need it. Sadly my donor car did not have CC so it does not have that part. However the local Pull-a-Part has a bunch of accords so I should be able to obtain the part.

#2 I thought that metal nub there did something, that is what pulls the throttle open, #1 is the spring that pulls it closed.

Thank you thank you thank you

You got it.........glad these worked......and My Pleasure

I'm still reading on the cruise system, love a good wire diagram mystery.

BTW- your "paint" skills are FAR better than mine. Heck, I don't even know how to add the "box numbers". Again, bottom line, glad these helped solve the mystery.

EDIT: In case anyone asks, the oil leak was fixed....vtec o-rings were bad and letting a bit of oil out causing the "build up" just to the left of the #2 box.
