Default 04 coupe power steering pump

Need help with 04 coupe power steering problem. Seems to be getting air in the system. The fluid turns brown with air bubbles in it building up pressure and forcing fluid out the cap. Eventually causing the fluid to run low and the
pump to start squealing. Always adding fluid and making a mess. Please help.

Thanks, Pete.

Check your fluid reservoir. Submerged in the fluid should be a fine mesh screen. If that gets plugged with crud, the pump will have a hard time sucking fluid from the reservoir. Then it can suck air through a leaky hose fitting (rather than leaking OUT).

Very common problem. The o-ring, on the inlet joint allows air to enter the system. Easy fix, with a 10mm wrench.
