04 honda accord shudder

04 honda accord shudder
We took the honda to a general mechanic to have new tires put on and balanced and a front end alignment. We got the car back and it started to shudder at higher speeds, around 50 to 60 mph, it felt like one of the wheels might be coming off. We took it back to have wheels re-balanced and still had a problem, we finally figured out it may be the front axles per website info. After eliminating a problem with the tires or wheels (they thought maybe there was a bent wheel), they replaced both front axles. The problem still exists, only now it's whenever you accelerated at any speed. Still shudders!???? Any ideas or thoughts? I called a honda dealership and one mechanic said it is because we did not use official "honda" axles, that after market axles were placed. Could this be true?
Please help. The car has been in the shop for days.

You should call the place that installed them and find out. I bought new masterpro axles from O'Reillys for my old accord and thought they were of very good quality.
Did your car have these problems before the tires were replaced?

the shop already put the old (orig.) tires and wheels back on to see if the shudder went away, it did not. As they said, according to honda the axle has to be replaced with an official honda axle. Does not make sense to me, we'll see when they install the new axle on Friday. I'm signing off for now, will check back later. Thanks for the replys and the suggestions!
