Default re: 04 honda accord shudder

Since my last post re: our honda accord shudder and all that was done to try to find the source of and correct the problem - the problem has been solved! The honda service dept. at the dealership was right, we needed to replace the "O'Reilly" new axles with "certified honda axles", which we did and there is no more shudder, thank god. It rides silky smooth now. Who would have thought that you have to have honda only axles from the honda dealership service department. Quite the rip, since they cost 200.00 more than the others. Fortunately we were credited for the first ones that were put on, but it was still 400.00 more out of pocket. They had to replace both to get rid of the vibration/shudder. Be advised if you have this problem come up that you can only have these official honda axles placed to fix the problem.
I'm am going to contact honda though to find out about reimbursement because apparently this is not an isolated incident (per google searches) with honda accords, their original axles do not wear well and they are now revised as the mechanic who placed them told me.

I think I recommended those axles. I didn't have a problem with them on my 95 accord. I would tell the people at O'Reillys about their new axles on your accord.
