Default 04 honda accord steering issues

I have an 04 honda accord and in the last 2 months I have had 4 incidents where it seems that the power steering has gone out around a curve or corner for a short moment making it pretty scary. I checked around the power steering pump for any leaks or anything but didn't notice anything. Also, the power steering fluid is a about 1/4 of the way up between low and full. Thanks for any help.

Welcome new member!
Seems like the fluid level is OK, but check the screen down in the reservoir.

Down low (submerged) there's a fine plastic mesh screen. If it gets plugged up with crud, it can starve the pump. When you spin the steering wheel fast, that's when the pump needs to draw more volume of fluid, so that's why it shows up during turning.

To clean that screen, you'll have to drain the reservoir, so it's an excuse to get fresh fluid in there. You MUST use Honda fluid, if the fluid says "ALL BRANDS" don't believe it. At least it has to say "FOR HONDA" on the bottle.

When you drain & remove the reservoir, try to check inside the low-pressure hose going to the pump. Look for the inner surface of the hose coming apart, maybe that's shedding material & messing up the pump?
