It's not only Autozone. What kind of car-parts chains are up there? Canadian Tire? Pep Boys? Advance Auto Parts?
We have Lordco up here that I goto. I get a 30% discount there.

You can clear the code yourself. On your 1998 you go to the right-side dashboard fusebox (near door hinges). Pull fuse #13 for 20 seconds or so.

If you clear the code & let it come back, then you erase any old leftovercodes so they don't confuse you.
I'm blonde. I'm always confused... Sweet. I'll do that tonight and see if it comes on again. Is there a technical name for the computer code reader? I don't think they'll understand me if I use hand gestures and call it a thingiemagoo....

Simple ones are called "OBD-2 Code Readers". About the size of a large calculator, with a wire that plugs into the OBD-2 port near driver's left knee. That's usually what the parts-store-guy will take to the parking lot & plug into your car.

More expensive & powerful ones can also display data from the car, like injector duty cycle or engine temperature or fuel trim, etc...
