Default 05 CEL reset?

On my 05 Accord I had an engine code and think I have fixed the problem and want to reset the CEL to see if I actually did fix it. On my 99 you pull fuse #13 (clock/back up) in the panel on the passenger side. Is it the same for the 05?

You can try pulling the ECU fuse, #8 (15A) located in the under-hood fuse/relay box for several minutes.

Or you can go to an autozone/advanced auto and they might clear it for you(they aren't supposed to but many do).

Beginning in 2003 they use non-volatile memory so disconnecting the battery will not clear it.

Whether or no parts stores will clear it for you seems to differ state-to-state. I've had them do it here in Ohio. Stories about them refusing to clear it seem to come from California.

Curious, what was the code and what did you fix/replace?

Code 1457
Replaced the gas cap and so far so good.
Most auto places around me won't reset the code due to liability crap.

Yup, that code is related to the EVAP system, loose, bad or missing fuel cap, just an FYI, Honda has replaced that code with P0457.
