Default 06 Accord New starter still wont start

Trying to to fix my moms 06 accord. Did some seaching and joined here so Hello all! Heres the story, she said it wouldnt start so when i went to look at it yesterday the starter would spin but the motor would not crank. So i thought ok, bendix took a crap and it needs a starter, so i put a new one in. No luck still doing the same thing the motor turns(confirmed this by seeing the pulleys/belt move, pulled a spark plug saw the piston going up and down.) My mechanic friend and I did notice a weak spark. So i cleaned the battery posts that were corroded and still nothing. Checked the timing chain and everything seems good. Fuses and what not are looking good(checked with test light and multimeter) I am at a complete loss here! Im have tempted to have it towed to a honda dealer! Any help and thoughts would be greatly welcome!!! Thanks for any help i get

When you turn the ignition to ON or START, does the Check Engine Light come on briefly then off? Or does the light stay on?

Also, does the Immobilizer light come on briefly then off? Or does it keep blinking?

It sounds like the starter motor is doing its job and spinning the engine, so you have a crank/no-start.

If you have access to a code reader, check for codes.

Sounds like you tested for spark. Each cylinder has its own coil, so your car should start and run on 3 coils albeit run poorly. You can test for spark on each coil with a spark tester or an old spark plug.

I'd look at fuel. Turn the key to the II position, but do not try to start the engine. When the check engine light does the bulb check, the fuel pump should turn on for about 2 seconds. The sound comes from the back seat and is a faint buzzing/whirling sound. Turn off the radio, blower, etc and listen carefully. You can listen at the gas cap if you have an assistant.

You can also try spraying starter fluid into the intake snorkel, then try to start the car. If the engine fires up while spraying, then lack of fuel is likely. Then you would have to determine why you are not getting fuel (power/wiring, fuel pump, injector signal). Don't assume the fuel pump is bad, because you can waste a lot of money and time.

green key like is functioning like it should check engine light is doing its normal coming on then off and throwing no codes. Check with a snap on scanner not a junk one.

Fuel pump turning on doesn't mean it is building pressure. Taking off the top of the air filter box and spraying into the snorkel will help determine if you are missing fuel.

The engine needs fuel, air, spark, timing/compression to run. Have you tried a compression test?
