Default 06' locks and remote problems

I have a remote key that unlocks all the doors if I press unlock twice in a row. It will also roll all the windows down if I press and hold the unlock button.

Recently, this has stopped working. Pressing the unlock button only unlocks my driver door.

Also, my door locks will lock automatically when I start the car.

Why is this happening and how do I go back to how it was and is described in the manual.

Check the manual about programming options. I think some of that stuff is programmable to behave one way or the other.

I checked the manual, there is nothing about programmable settings.

Ok, maybe that's only programmable on 09 or newer cars???

Search in here or in the DIY section for something like "reset multiplexer". Your car uses multiplexers to control a lot of stuff like windows & locks. There's a way to "reboot" them but I don't remember the exact procedure. Its something like setting the winshield wiper switch a certain way & cycling the ignition switch.

Your car is receiving the signal from the remote, otherwise it wouldn't do ANYTHING. You said it still unlocks the drivers door...? So if you find a procedure for programming the car to accept new remotes, that isn't gonna help you.

Update.

It was the driver side front door lock actuator that was inoperable and caused problems.

HondaCare covered everything for me.
