I have a 2007 honda accord 2.4. It randomly will have a low idle of 500 and will die if left at idle or on load from trans with no throttle input. Pulled plug wires 1 at a time and found no significant difference in cylinder contribution. Gas is good as problem has happened on and off with the same gas in tank. No cel on and car drives normally off idle. Any ideas?

 

Dirty throttle plate starving engine for air.

Throttle plate is adjusted by PCM to compensate for dirt, but apparently there are limits.

You can confirm by accessing throttle plate position w/ a good obd2 scanner. If throttle plate position over 2.46%, then throttle body cleaning indicated.

Suggest getting a shop manual if you intend to diy. Check automanualsource.com for a download manual ($22).
