2000 Accord Auto V6 3.0 vtec

its my friends car and when it starts up it shakes and the rpms like to jump around then it will die. when started up again it will be just fine. and there is no CEL. im thinking it may be the throttle position sensor but i am new to hondas and typically work on jeeps. any help would be much appreciated

oh its also got over 200,000 miles and she is saying that she probably needs a tune up too. im stopping by her place tomorrow to change her oil

 

Showing a check-engine light? If so, go to AutoZone or someplace like that to read the error code. Get the code number (P1234 or whatever) because sometimes their explanations can get pretty creative.

Check her spark plugs. Honda likes NGK best, Denso are OK, some people have had troubles with Bosch & other brands.
