Default 07 Accord Shudder/ Shake 2nd Gear manual???

I have an 07 Accord SE 5spd Manual, aprox. 60k mi. I am the second owner and have had it for 6 months now. I have had many hondas in the past, never an Accord though. My car seems to shake or shudder in second gear, here is what I know:

- It only happens in second gear at about 2-2.5 rpm

- When I floor it in second the shaking or shudder does not happen

- The shaking is not very bad, It has been like this since I've bought it but it may be getting slightly worse. (I didn't initially notice on the test drive, but a few weeks after)

- The car also seems to shake when in any gear accelerating from 60-65 mph.

- Car got brand new tires after it was traded by PO.

Thanks for any input.

sounds like maybe axle(s) ? could check tire balance, but that doesn't sound like it's the problem.

Well, at least it's not the dreaded AT shuddder that seems to plague most Hondas! I have an Odyssey and there are multple threads on Ody forums about it! Mine is an 08, a year after they started putting the Ridgeline tranny in them, which helped out greatly with that problem, along with a software update (recall) on the ECM. Good luck in finding out the cause of your MT shudder!

I'm curious if you ever found out what caused the 2nd gear vibration. I have an 07 Accord with manual tranny and it's doing the exact same thing. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
