Default 07 Accord will not start

My dad's 2007 Honda Accord 4-cylinder won't start. It clicks and the dashboard lights flicker. I think its a battery but I don't want to buy a battery and not be the problem. Also, when I turn the key to "on" and hook my code reader up to it, it will click like crazy and the dash lights will die out and the clicking will slow down. I checked the battery voltage and it seemed good (at about 12V DC). So, now what do I check?

It sounds like a bad battery.Take it out and bring it to a local parts store and have them load test it.Have you tried to jump start it with another car yet?

Do check the cables and make sure everythings snug, also that no power stuff, like lights or interior lights were left on.

I would say it's definitely the battery. Before you go out and buy a new one, like you said you should go have it tested.

Another alternative, that I would do first, is pick up a battery charger, and take the battery out and have it charge over night.

If you want to verify your battery's dead you can use a voltmeter, but it sounds like it is, ha.

Good luck!
