Just checking to see if any other techs have run into a similar situation.
My daughter's car stopped charging, visually checked the car over in her yard, checked the owners manual for related fuses and ordered a alternator. I replaced the starter a month ago so I figured time for the alt. to quit.
Replaced the Alternator and same issue. Did some online research and found there is an interior fuse #7 for the alternator although the owners manual says #7 not in use.
Replaced fuse and we're charging! All is good!
My daughter takes it down the road and the fuse blows again. I put another fuse in and this time it blows key on. I traced and checked the wiring that I could.
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction or has a wiring diagram for the alternator. I found a schematic but it leaves a lot to be desired.
Remember people, I'm diagnosing this in the yard!

Driver's under-dash Fuse No. 7 protects the following on a 4 cylinder:
Alternator, Brake Pedal Position Switch, CMP Sensor A (L4), ELD Unit, Engine Mount Control Solenoid Valve (L4), EVAP Canister Purge Valve, Secondary HO2S (L4)
Looks for damaged wiring, etc. Possible rodent chew, etc.
