Green is one of the positive wires (green probably is the wire for pin terminal 1 on the ceiling light electrical connector). Pin terminal 3 should be the ground wire. It didn't specify the wire color for terminal 3 (ground); but, should be Black.

The terminal pins are 1, 2, and 3 (with terminal 1 closest to the tab on the connector).

Can you help me understand why I can't get leds to go off with dome light? Used a circuit tester and poked green wire right behind dome light, when door is open dome light and circuit tester bulb stay lit. When door is shut, dome goes off and circuit tester bulb stays lit. Do I have to tap it near the mutiplex to get it to turn off with dome light? Any help greatly appreciated

When you do that, where are you grounding the test light? Honda's traditional way of doing things is for the (+) wire to be hot all the time, & the ground wire is switched.

The dome light and the map lights are negative trigger from the door switches, each door switch wire run to the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) located in the under-dash fuse/relay box. If you connect the ground source wire from your LEDs to the wire from the MICU, it will trigger your LEDs to come on when a door is open and shut off with the doors closed after a brief period.

The ground source wire coming from the MICU is a pink wire at terminal pin no. 12, located at Connector 501.
