I know in this time of high fuel prices most owners are running 87 octane, but has anyone tried the 08 6 cyl w/VCM and several consecutive tanks of 93 octane? If you have and saw fuel economy benefits I'd like to know but I'm more interested in if anyone has found performance benefits as some have reported experiencing with the gen 7 V6. Thanks in advance for any info on this subject.

 

Put what the car asks for in the tank. Higher octane doesn't equal more power.

 

and those numbers are not the qualitly of the gas, everyone seems to think that 87 is a crap gas that will over time build up crap on ur engine, and 93 will keep it running like new
