'11 EX 4-cyl AC problem?
Hi folks,
Not sure if this is an actual issue or not, so I thought I would come to the forum to find out. When I press the "MAX A/C" button, and have the fan turned all the way to the highest setting, I do not notice any difference in the way the A/C blower sounds when the "MAX A/C" button is NOT on. In cars I've had in the past, there was a definite difference in terms of the sound of the fan between just having the A/C fan on the highest setting, and then turning it on to MAX A/C...difficult to describe, so hopefully you know what I mean.
Is there something wrong here, or am I being paranoid? Thanks in advance for any help!

"Max AC" is same as selecting "Recirculate" on earlier Accords. It routes blower intake air from exterior air intake to interior air intake, although some external air is pulled.
When the recirculate door closes, you should hear a difference and be able to trace the air entering the blower box under the pax side dash.
If no change in sound, the recirculation motor that drives the diverter door may be defective, damaged wiring, or sticking door. Recirculation motor is on blower module at pax feet. It's on the inside position (nearer center of car). This is based on 08-10 Accord manuals I have. Might be different for 11 Accord.
Suggest attempting to command Max AC on and off to locate the recirculation motor,...if it's working any at all.
good luck
