1984 Honda Accord lx 183k. I just replaced the alternator and battery week ago. And before last Sunday before I replaced both it died one time. Then I got a new battery then replaced the alternator. I had no problems before this. my car will start, but it take a few times (usually 2 times). It starts, but it will only drive 15 mins/ a couple miles.Before it dies and won’t start in until it rests. Jumping it won’t even make it start. Then it will start and drive for maybe 10-15 mins again......

 

So when it doesn't start, does the starter spin the engine but it doesn't fire up & run?
Or does it not do anything?

1984 is carburated, right?
