I am new to this forum. I just purchased my 1985 Accord Hatch MT today and i've had the AC on since i've been driving. When I don't use the air conditioning the car idles very low around 300rpm and shakes the same way you are in too high a gear on the road. When I have the AC on the rpms are naturally higher so I do not experience this issue. I just got the car and am anxious to fix the issue so any experience/ suggestions will help! thanks

 

change oil trans fluid and spark plugs and wires
if these dont help u might have to adjust ur idle on the throttle body

haha yup. Elderly lady who has owned it since 84 just had knee replacement and can't drive the standard transmission anymore. The exterior and interior look like they both just came off the showroom floor lol
