Hello everybody!!! I have 2 1987 Accord Lx cars. One is a standard 5 speed and the other is an automatic..My question is , is it possible to put the engine from an automatic into the standard car?? They're both carburated, and the same size engines... somebody told me it was'nt possible....that I would have to change something else... could anybody out there help please??

 

it should be fine, you could swap the auto motor into the manual just fine.... I'm assuming the motor in the manual is going out but you prefer the manual tranny so you want to move the engine over? You shouldn't have to change a thing that I can think of....

 

Straight swap; no doubt about it.
Try not to turn the carb upside down, or stir it up.
