Default 1988 Honda Accord Hatchback Retractable Headlights

My headlights are in the up position and they won't go down when I turn the lights off. The lights go off, but they remain in the up position. Is there a fuse that might have blown or could the motors have died simultaneously?

Hi new member...
I'm fairly sure that your motor is no longer working. Test the connections 1st to see if it's getting power to it's motor.

i have to ask if the switch on the dash...just to the right of the steering wheel is pressed in?

To the right of the wheel is a set of switches....left to right.....Headlights up/down, dash dimmer **** (brightness of the gauge at night) and the rear defrost (if you have this option, you didn't give the trim level).

With the car off/keys out. Press the up/down switch for the headlights?

poorman212,

You sir are a Godsend. The switch was depressed. My problem is solved. I let my son borrow the car and when he returned it, he did with the lights up. He had no idea how he'd done it and it's been nearly 7 months since I've driven the car.

Thank you.

Anytime

I'm a big fan of the 3rd gen Accords (86-89). Thanks for coming back with the answer.
