Default 1989 accord flooding at idle.

My 1989 accord is spraying fuel down the throat of the carb right below the choke blade. The previous owner had the carb rebuilt by a local mechanic and was running perfect for about 1000 miles. Then all the sudden it died at a stoplight one day and since then it floods itself immediately at idle unless the air cleaner base is off then the vaccum leaks from disconnected hoses compensates for the extra fuel and it will run at about 3000 rpm. Not sure what all was replaced when carb was rebuilt just that it was removed and gone through to some extent.
