new ignition 2 years ago, noticed it other times was warm thought nothing of it, I drive it 200 miles a day and the last couple of time just to the store and back 2 miles i get out and put the keys in my pocket and I feel the heat of the key on my leg, any ideas or is this normal when its like 100 or hotter in the car from being in the sun.

 

guess and my best guess is that its nothing

 

With the high temperatures, it could be simply the heat stored in the metal lock mechanism transferring to the key.

See if the same thing happens when you drive at night when it is cooler? Or after the car cools down after a long drive with the a/c on?
