Default 1990 accord starting problem

i just picked up a 90' accord ex automatic for 300 bucks. the guy said the only thing wrong with the car was the fuel pump. so i changed that, (by the way you have to drop the tank on that model, i didnt know that). i have fuel going to the rail now, but i dont have spark. i went ahead and changed the fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and replaced all of the fuses. still no start. i wanted to know if i should directly change the distributor and coil, or should i check something else first? i even checked the park shift sensor. any ideas, or should i just buy a new distributor and coil?

Hello Rev..
I believe you should have checked out your ignition coil 1st but now that youve replaced your fuel pump do the Coil 2nd before you do anything else to the car.

When checkinng that coil...the spark should only be dark blue in color...any other color states that you have a weak coil therefore not start problem..

Do that and see if that solves your spark and start problem..

Let me Know!

I have a 92 accord that had the same type problem once. It was the main fuel relay. They get cold soldier joints and the car cranks but gets no fire to the plugs. might check that.
