it's your fuel filter or pump. Can you hear he pump prime when you turn the key...turn the key to accessory and listen for the pump to prime...it will come from the back seat

the fuel pump works i hear it going and then the click when the key is on and hte cel turns off. when im driving to school its life after five miles in the freeway it turns on. could that be my fuel pump still or is it my fuel filter triggering it?

The code 43 means that the engine computer is having a problem with the air/fuel mixture. Some of the causes can be from a weak fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pressure regulator, or the oxygen sensor. There are other possible causes as well.

If you search through the forums, most of the time it is an O2 sensor problem. If you go that route, buy a Denso brand, because they make the sensors for Honda and will be less expensive.

That sounds like a good plan.

The dreaded code 43;
This one was lost in translation from japaneese to hondaeese, and english-eese.

The O2 sensor is reading 'unburned' oxides; aka a rich burn condition.
So don't waste time or money buying a fuel pump, though a fuel filter might be due.
The O2 sensor could be the cause as well as old plugs, poor spark, IACV screen plugged up, throttle body needs cleaned.
