Default 1990 honda accord ignition cylinder issues

Hey everybody, first time posting on here and was hoping I could get some suggestions on how I could maybe fix this issue I have.

Alright, so I have this old as honda and it was broken into the other night. They basically took a screwdriver to where I insert the key and did a lot of damage. From the information, I found already it looks like I can just replace the cylinder but the issue I'm running into is I'm not able to turn the key to the position needed to push in the pin. I posted two pictures of what is left of my ignition cylinder and any advice would be extremely helpful!

Are you trying to start the car? Or are you trying to remove the ignition switch assembly?
