Default 1991 accord sometimes take awhile to start

Sometimes it starts right up, others, I need to keep cranking. I always wait about 3 secs to allow the fuel pump to pressurise the systm. Could it possibly be the fuel filter? 200k mi and I dont know if its ever been changed. How mush is a pressure tester?. Or is it just cheaper to replace it anyways?

I very much doubt it's the fuel filter, however the fuel filter is easy to access and replace. You will need a restraint wrench (19mm I think) to hold the fuel filter cannister while you break the tubing nut at the top. Use a flare tubing wrench to avoid rounding the tubing nut. I found the tubing nut to be very tight.

Hard starting can be due to weak spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, or rotor. Make sure all these items are good.

Clean or replace air filter.

good luck
