Default 1991 Accord Speed Sensor

My vss has been out for about 6 months and I feel that it's about time to replace it.
I'm beginning to think that it may be the reason that I'm only getting about 20 mpg.
My question:
Why is there such a difference in price between my local parts store ($150.00) and Ebay ($15.00)? Are the speed sensors on Ebay junk or would they work just as good as any other?

I've used an ebay sensor (<$25) w/o problems. It's a very simple device, a small rotating magnet and voltage pickup coil.

good luck

Check Amazon. I got one for $18. Everywhere else it was $50- $130.
