1991 Accord Wagon electrical issues
Had my car die on me today and had to get it towed home. Turns over, but appears to not have spark, won't run. Power windows, sunroof, blower, instrument panel lights, and turn signals don't work. I noticed the other day that my dash dimmed a tiny bit when my turn signal was on. Any suggestions for fusable links or relays to check. Thanks.
Any recent work done on the car or other issues other than the dimming?
The dimming and the no spark might not be related, so I'd treat them as separate issues and figure out the no spark to get the car running. This won't be a fuse problem as a fuse is typically working or blown.
The coil should have a blk/yel or yel/blk wire that gets 12V from the ignition switch. You shoudl check that you are getting 12V to the coil with a volt meter.
You can also inspect the distributor cap and rotor just to make sure they aren't severly worn out and making poor contact.
