Default 1991 honda sputtering

I recently gassed up my 1991 Honda Accord and when I was leaving the gas station the engine began to sputter like it was getting enough gas. I changed the fuel filter and put some gas treatment in the tank but it is not helping. The car only has 130,000 miles and I hopeit is nothing major. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Place your car description in your signature line.

Need more history of maintenance. Any spark plug, spark plug leads, rotor, distributor cap changes? Timing belts changed at ~ 90K miles?

Air filter and all vacuum lines should be checked. Check spark plug wells for oil which can short out plugs (leaking seals). Check PCV valve and hose for cracks, clean PCV, blockages in hose. Clean throttle body plate and bore (as far as you can reach w/ throttle body cleaner. Clean idle air control valve (IACV) w/ throttle body cleaner.

good luck
