Default 1993 Accord LX MT won't turn engine over

The engine will not crank (turn over). I can hear a click 'under the dash' but not a click under the hood. I have checked the fuel pump pressure by loosening the fuel line bolt and turning the key on. I have fuel pressure. My reading the forums, I'm assuming I have eliminated the main relay under the dash, which clicks when I turn the key to start position. I have not checked the clutch switch to ensure it is completing the circuit, which I will be doing in next couple of days. If bypassing the clutch switch does not enable my starter to turn, what would be my next step? Sorry, I made a mistake in header line. I have a manual transmission.

Check the small wire at the starter (starter signal wire). Verify that it gets 12v when the key is held in the START position.

If that gets 12v, then your clutch switch & all the rest of the circuit is OK. In that case, blame the starter.

You could also try the caveman test. Hit the starter with a broom handle or something like that, WHILE someone tries to start it.

f!@# yeah! i used to be a harrier mechanic, and when the water dump motor wouldnt open the water dump valve we would get in the main landing gear and hit that **** with a rubber mallet. worked every time... you gotta do what you gotta do. if that motor is just frozen a bit at least youll know its gonna go soon so you can go buy a new one. whew!!!

I do not have 12v at the small wire to starter. I will be under the clutch tomorrow to see if the clutch switch is completing circuit.

I don't have a wiring diagram for 1993. That clutch switch may act through a relay. *IF* it does, then it may be a bad switch or a bad relay. Or a broken wire somewhere.

Got a multi-meter? (so you can check each part of the circuit)

Default Problem solved

It was the clutch switch. I ran out of spare time and took it to my mechanic. Thanks everyone for the input.
