Before changing out the fuel pump, I would make sure that you are getting power to the pump. I would get at least a haynes manual to help troubleshoot or download a shop manual from www.hondahookup.com.

If you have to change out the fuel pump, you are going to have to drop the gas tank to change it.

I totally agree with PAHONDA.......
make sure you get power AND ground at the fuel pump wires there is an access cover where you can get and test the wires .. if you do and still get no gas , most likely you got a bad fuel pump,, if you do not,,,, i would chk the MAIN relay .. also you might want to chk the fuel filter to make sure it is not totally pluggeed ,,
but if you need to replace the pump I am afraid the tank has to come down

,
I cannot remeber exactly on a 93, but are you sure that you can replace the fuel pump from the top ?? there is an access hole but i believe that is only to replace the fuel gauge sending unit .but you can test the fuel pump wiring there ..

I'm also pretty sure the tank has to come out to replace the pump.

Check for power to the fuel pump before replacing fuel pump. It can be tricky to check as the power is only available w/ keyswitch turned to ON for about 3 secs w/o the engine engaged before ECU cut's off ground to Main Fuel Relay and disables power. This is probably a safety feature to stop fuel pump running after an accident. You will need to have some help or rig a tell-tale light on a long lead back to the pax compartment. That's what I did recently to finally catch that power was available and pump was not running.

good luck

I was working on a 94 but there was no access to fuel pump, although there was access to the fuel gauge sensor assy. If there is access it should be on the driver's side in the trunk just above the spare tire well. I posted details in a thread I started recently. Search should find it.

good luck
