picked up vibration @ idle however tach does not reflect this.Once underway vibration goes away, tried wires, plugs, cleaned throttle body,no codes.I just remembered the drivers side motor mount leaked out fluid around a month ago- could this be the cause????? if not any suggestions - 110k miles with no mods - all stock - dealer serviced

Yes, unfortunately the motor mounts front and rear are prone to failure w/ age. Front is easy DIY, however rear is an advance diy.

You can see the rear motor mount from pax side of car w/ a good light. Have someone (trusted) put car in forward and reverse (while holding foot brake and hand brake firmly set) w/ small throttle spikes to 1500-2000 rpm. Watch the rear motor mount. You can see excess movement and failed rubber mount. Check DIY section for replacement procedure.

I used the underside work procedure; elevate car on jack stands, remove drive axle and access from underneath for removal.

Front mount can be visually inspected easily.

Post moved to correct forum.

good luck

You can also try grabbing the valve cover to push/pull on the engine to see if you have play in any of the motor mounts.

That rear mount is vacuum-operated on auto-trans cars. Possibly the solenoid valve is the problem? Check for vacuum vs. no-vacuum at the rear mount, when you shift between P and R with the engine idling.
