1994 Accord door question

Default 1994 Accord door question

Bought my son his first car, 1994 accord two door...didnt know what I was doing, car has lots of issues! Windows wont open, wiring is a mess, (jumpers all over the fuse panel etc.) Was wondering if theres a way to either "hot wire" the windows and install a toggle type switch or change them to manual crank some how????? Its been warm here now and my kid is dyin from the inabilty to roll his windows down!!!

Just check the motors and circuits with a DMM.

Default 1994 accord door question

I did check the window switch etc with my DMM, but no idea waht voltage I should be geting o what pins etc... Where can I get wiring info?

used a DMM but dont know where to get a wiring diagram so I dont know what voltage should be present, or on what pins etc...and with the jumper wires someone installed - it really dosnt make sense!

Any shop manual will have complete wiring diagrams. (Haynes, Chilton, Etc.) Your local parts store should have the manual.

It definitely sounds like there are some electrical problems with the car with the jumpers replacing fuses. You should start trying to eliminate those jumpers by examining one circuit at a time.

The online manuals thread in the DIY section has a spooner link I posted that has the 94 shop manual that you can download. That will have all of the wiring diagrams that will be specific for your car.
