1994 accord stick axle help please :(

Default 1994 accord stick axle help please :(

Well my axle startd making a little clicking today. Iv done axles on auto's befor but never a stick. Is there any thing different in doing it? Thanks ahead of time.

There shouldn't be much of a difference. The knuckles are the same on an AT vs a MT.

FYI, some MT fluid will come out when you pull the inner part of the joint from the transmission.

Yeah dont these transmissions take 10w30 in the transmissions?

They can take 10W-30 or 10W-40.

There is also Honda Manual Transmission Fluid that was introduced around 1996. The 94 owner's manual will say to use the 10W-30. The 96 shop manual says to use Honda MTF or 10W-30. It is up to you. Can't remember the difference in cost.

Honda MTF is more expensive, but it'll work a bit better (smoother shifts). It's not night&day difference, so you gotta decide if it's worth it.
