hello all! newbie here. i have a 1994 accord wagon. when i bought the car from the fellow, he did a little aftermarket work. first off he shaved the tailgate/license plate area for a smooth look. it looks great. in turn, when he rebondo'ed the area, she shaved off the key hole as well. after all of this, he made his own aftermarket electric trunk pop switch in the car. so my question to you all; the trunk no longer opens unless i climb into the back of the wagon part and manually pull the cable to pop the lift gait! not a problem but an inconvenience! when i hit the trunk pop that he installed, i can hear the trunk trying to pop but i dont think its enough power to open the lift gait? do i need a new solenoid/relay? replace or tighten the cable? im thinkin of just redoing the trunk cable and have a release lever like the stock accords. please let me know what you guys think. thx!!!

 

I think it depends on exactly what components he used for all that stuff. Besides, this belongs in General Tech so I'll move it - hopefully you'll get more answers there.
