Bought and replaced the "Collent swich" according to the autozone worker who didnt know how to spell or use a computer, I had to ask for his keyboard to search it up myself. How these people get these jobs are beyond me.

In any case, the fan turns on now when it gets hot while the car is on. Thank goodness it wasnt something bigger. However the other fan now does not turn on even with the ac on. Is there a switch like the coolant switch for the fan next to the power steering pump? Thanks

There is only one switch. The fan on the passenger side is called the radiator fan and the driver's side the condenser fan.

Unplug the fan that is not working (couldn't tell which one from your description). Turn on the a/c. Measure the voltage across the two pins. If you have 12V, then something is wrong with the motor. You can plug the connector back in, and try hitting the motor with the handle of a screw driver. If the fan turns on, then the brushes on the motor are likely worn out and you need to buy a new fan motor.

If you don't have 12V, then something is wrong upstream. We can give you more tips when you let us know which fan is not working.

In '94 there's 2 fan switches. Also one temperature sensor for ECU, another for the temperature gauge in the cluster.

#15 (with ONE wire) is for the dashboard temperature gauge.
#19 is the water temperature sensor for the fuel injection system.

#17 in the thermostat housing is the fan switch responsible for switching BOTH fans while the engine is running.

#18 in the upper radiator hose nozzle is the fan switch responsible for switching ONE fan after the engine is turned off.

#17 & #18 have different temperature setpoints.
#16 shows a sensor for a different year/version because Honda likes to use the same picture for several years...

Thank guys. Its the condenser fan that is not working.

After replacing radiator fan switch, the radiator fan now works and it turns on when idling at a red light.

However the condenser fan is still in the pooper at this moment. But I notice the car's temp hasn't pass the middle mark today, and that's a first ever since the problem arisen. Thanks!

Once again, even with the ac on, the condenser fan is still not turning on. It did before but after changing the switch, it doesn't want to turn on now.
I dont have the equipment to test to see if its getting any voltage unfortunately.

I always assumed that both fans are supposed to run when you jumper the fan switch & the engine is running. It does on my former '98, but I never owned a '94. Who knows for sure?? PA, what does yours do?

both fans are supposed to come on,, if cond fan is now inop,, chk the fuse first, than chk to see if you get power at the motor plug ;;I think it is the blue wire but not for sure just recalling from memory ,, and ground at the black wire,,

if you get both and motor still not turning you got a bad fan motor ..
if no power and fuse is ok,, chk the relay ..........chk the Fuse first

When he switches on the AC, both fans run (right??) so the motor is OK.
When he jumpers the fan switch, only one runs.

What parts of the circuit are different for AC vs. fanswitch? Does the fan switch power the condenser fan through a different relay or a different fuse vs. when he runs the AC? I don't have a wiring drawing for 94...
