Exclamation 1994 honda accord

i have a 1994 honda accord ex 4 door and i cant get the cruise control to work i replaced the cord that went from the cruise control box to the throttle because it was broke and then it would not come on the on the button on the dash board will light up green but when i press the button to engage it on the steering wheel it will not come on or show that it is working in the gage cluster in the dash i just replaced the part on the steering wheel and still no luck with it will not come on any help would be great thanks josh

A bad brake lamp switch can cause this problem.

Also a bad cruise control switch can be the source of your issue..

A common way for the brake-lamp switch to "fail" is that the switch is OK but the rubber button on the brake pedal falls out. Or the switch has come loose from it's mounting bracket. Either way, when the pedal is up, it doesn't push the plunger on the switch.
