Im having problems with my 1996 honda accord lx. i just swaped a motor out of a 1994 accord ex wich the motor was a v-tec, everything went smoothly. everything pluged in ok, except for the computer. the plugs were different on the 94 ecu so i left the 96 ecu in the car. the fuel pump cuts on &the motor is getting fire. but the car just wont start. what do i do?

 

well thats the problem with trying to run a obd1 motor with a obd2 ecu, although thearetically it still should run, you should just get a list of CELs a mile long. If your state does not have state inspections i would recommend buying a obd2-1 conversion harness so you can use the 94 ecu, they are about $75. however if your state does have state inspection you will fail it if you do this
