Default 1995 Accord. Cranks but wont start.

210k miles on the vehicle and engine. For the last 15k miles the engine occasionally hesitates/misses when accelerating for a second or so, but in general it runs well. Recently the car would not start. It cranks over well and almost seems to want to start, but fails to do so. Yesterday I turned the car to the on position (but did not try to crank it over) in order to listen for the fuel pump to prime. I did this about five times and could not hear the pump prime. So I figured the fuel pump went out. This morning I turned the key to the on position to check for the fuel pump to prime and it did. But the car wont start. It just cranks but wont turn on and run.

There is spark to the spark plug.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be? How would I best troubleshoot the issue?

Thank you for your help.

You need to determine if you are missing spark or fuel. Take the snorkel off the throttle body and spray starting fluid into the throttle body while an assistant tries to start the car.

If the engine fires up with starting fluid, you will have to trace down why you are missing fuel. It could be a fuel pump, wiring, or main relay. The fuel pump is a pain to replace as you have the drop the gas tank, and it still may not fix your problem. Definitely troubleshoot before replacing any parts.
