Default 1995 Accord intermittent crank no start.

I have a 94 accord, 2.0 auto. It will run and drive but once the engine starts to get warm it will just shut off and will not start again until engine cools. I have replaced the main relay already. Checked the ignition system after it dies. I have no spark, still have power to the coil but it seems like no spark after the coil? OBD1 will come up with code 15 after the stall. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Is your accord a 2.2L? External coil, or is the coil in the distributor.

Regardless, the problem can be the ignition control module (ICM) inside the distributor, the wiring, the coil, or the ECU.

There are some good ericthecarguy videos on testing the ICM/coil on youtube for Hondas that can help narrow it down.

Odds are likely the ICM is bad. A new one can be expensive, so I'd probably pick up one (and maybe a coil) from a junkyard.

External coil, 2.2 maybe? It's 132ci forgive my lack knowledge on honda engines. Its also non V-tec if thats even an option for the year. I followed one of his videos to no avail. My best thought is the cam position sensor in the distributor. Once it gets hot it can no longer make proper signal or the ignitor with the same scenario.

I think you'd get a cam sensor error if it was not giving signal. Most likely ICM. The non vtec engine has the external coil.

Fair enough. I'll check more into the ICM. Thank you!
