1995 Accord LX 2.7L Master Cylinder
so my braking could be better even with new rotors, front calipers and pads. still have the original master cylinder 30 years old. should I replace. will this help braking?
I see on parts geek they have a OEM - Seiken Brake Master Cylinder. I am assuming it will work for my 2.7L its $145 more then other aftermarkets. is this the only way to go for this part?
there is also on ebay a NTP Japan OEM Brake Master Cylinder 46100-MS4-A03 which shows to fit my 2.7L. $110.00
any suggestions appreciated!

I'm of the opinion if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The only way a master cylinder fails is if the cup seals wear out and allow fluid to leak by. I guess the bore could be pitted and you would get the same effect. When you push the brake pedal, it would feel mushy or the pedal would sink to the floor.
What do you mean by better braking?
You could pull out the pads to inspect and make sure they slide easily in the bracket. If they are wedged in there, you can remove the clips and clean out any rust in the channel under the clips. Southmainauto on youtube has a ton of good brake videos you can check out.
I'd probably go with pads and rotors if they are needed. Inspect the caliper dust cover to see if it is torn, then replace or rebuild the caliper.

I do agree and know your philosophy, if it aint broke lol
just trying to improve the pedal performance if possible, getting more responsiveness. its a little soft. will bleeding the brake lines again help?
I will take the car in and have them look at the front brake system, the front has new pads, rotors and calipers, but ill still get it inspected.
otherwise the brakes work very good, but not amazing as Id like them.
I will check out Southmainauto videos. thanks for the tip!
thank you!

yes rear drum. I wish I had better responsiveness pressing the brake pedal. its good and works no issues, but just wish it was better. I have slotted rotors, new calipers and Akebono pads in the front. put new Brembo rotors in the back, new pads, kept original calipers on back.
You say yes rear drums but then you say you put Brembo rotors on the back so I'm assuming you meant to say NO rear drum, Anyho I would not replace master cylinder unless you got an issue like pedal slowly going to floor at stops and foot on the brake , you can try bleeding system again , like PA stated no need to replace if it ain't broke . since you kept original calipers on back make sure calipers seals are not leaking
