1995 Accord wagon hatch won't open

Hi all,

My husbands 1995 Accord wagon hatch won't open, it's stuck and has been this way for months and I'm wondering if this is something we can fix ourselves??

what happens when you use the handle on the rear? does it move? is it frozen?

Thanks for your reply.

It does move and the lock moves up and down when locked and unlocked.

I just noticed you have the same car!!!
