At a minimum you should drive for 10 or 15 minutes including purposely shifting through every gear. Or run it with the wheels lifted off the ground & run through the gears the same way. That mixes the new fluid with the old that's left inside the torque converter.

Many people just use their car for a day or 2, or wait for next weekend to do the next flush.

ok, so 15 minutes will do it eh. I thought it would take longer maybe to mix, but if thats all then thats good! thanks for the info!

I wanted clean fluid quickly on purchase, so I just drove mine for 10 miles between the two drain and fills. That Honda and tranny I still have after an additional 120,000 miles. Have done a couple since then, too.

nice! how many miles do you have now? my car runs like new with 140,000 but I spent some cash upgrading most of the car. I think I can run her another 100k+. she is a fun car to drive!
