You need to determine if the problem is due to lack of spark of lack of fuel.

First though, are you maintenance items up to date like the distributor cap, distributor rotor, and the spark plugs?

Did the check engine light turn on while driving? If so, go to the common diy thread on top of the gen tech forum and follow the instructions in the how to check engine codes thread. Post any codes on here.

A quick test for fuel is to turn the key to to the II position, but do not try to start the car. When the check engine light turns on for the bulb check, the fuel pump should turn on for about two seconds. It is a faint whirling/buzzing sound that comes from the back seat, so turn off the radio, blower, etc.. and listen carefully.

Check the brake fluid level. If it is ok, then you may have a problem with the brake master cylinder starting to fail.
