With 90’s civics a very popular mod is to put 4 door rear handles in the front doors of 4 door 2 door and hatch. 4 door has smaller doors in the civic too but the handle is the same size.
the idea is have an alarm or remote entry and eliminate the key cylinder as an entry point for a thief.

The sensor is a 3 wire 1 ground 1 sends power when locking 1 sends power when unlocking. So grounding both wires would by pass the sensor. With that said I’m still going to look into a proper fix.

 

Thank again guys! the only thing that was broken was the plastics piece on the lock cylinder.
Finally 25 years of hoarding Honda parts pays off.

 

One more justification to tell my wife that I really shouldn't throw that stuff away...
