how do you post a new thread? I have a car problem I would like to ask for help with, but all I could find so far was how to reply to an already going thread... thanks for the help!

Juice on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a new thread button you click. It is above the text Threads in this Forum.

For the blu/yel you want to test the resistance to ground or open/closed to ground.

The 96 V6 is a lot different than the 4-cylinder, but the 4-cylinder diagnostics are pretty much the same for the a/c system. You can download a 94 shop manual. Open the Common DIY Threads on top of the gen tech help forum. Click Online Shop manuals. Open the honda-tech link and get the manual. You want to do the diagnosis for no fans or compressor turning on under the a/c section.

want do you mean on the blu/yel ?, I stuck the red probe to the wire and the black to the ground.

also where is the AC compressor relay? shopkey5 shows it here. but I don't even have that relay center under may hood.

The compressor relay is behind the fuse box towards the firewall. I doubt that this is just a relay problem, because nothing is working. What is happening when you hook up your scanner? You can reset the PCM by removing the 7.5 amp backup/radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

The a/c pressure switch has two wires. A red wire and a blue/yellow wire.

The red wire should have 12V from the battery when you have the key in the II position. You did your test correctly. Just check that you can 12V when you touch the volt meter probes on the proper battery posts.

For the next test, you need the key in the II position, the fan turned on inside of the car, and the a/c button turned on.

The other wire on the a/c pressure switch is a blue wire with a yellow stripe (blu/yel). Touch your red volt meter lead to the blu/yel wire. The black volt meter lead should touch the valve cover bolt (ground). The only difference is that you want to measure resistance instead of voltage. Is your volt meter a digital one, or one with a needle? Let me know the model volt meter you have and can give you some specific instructions.

Then the radiator fan is likely bad if you wired the fan to both posts on the battery. That will not cause the a/c compressor not turn run.

The volt meter you are showing has an ohm setting (horseshoe shape). It looks like you have a beep sign to the left ohm setting. You should be able to set the meter to beep when the leads touch each other and not beep when they are apart. When I say check for continuity to ground on a wire, you want to test that the wire is actually connected to ground. So you should touch on lead to the wire I am asking about, and the other volt meter lead to a good ground. I use the valve cover bolt, because it is bare metal (paint can prevent the lead from touching ground). If the meter beeps, then that wire is connected to ground. Hope this makes sense.

That relay is not inside the fuse box. It is behind the fuse box in that picture you showed. It may be a bit below the fuse box as well.

OK, I got no beep or reading when red probe to blu/yel and black to ground, so does that mean that dam new switch is bad?

also I had a jumper cross the red/white and blue/yel nothin happen but when I pull the jumper form the blue/yel it touch the frame and the compressor and fan kicked on?
